Food tracking, minus the fuss

Know your food.
Keep it simple.

Protein, carbs, fat. Fibre and sugar too. See your day clearly, remember the foods you eat, and get on with everything else.

Lunch shouldn't need its own spreadsheet.

Built for the everyday bits

Log it. Learn a little.
Then leave it alone.

Useful detail when you want it. Fewer things between you and your next meal.

01

Find the food. Check the portion.

Search a food or scan a packaged product. Choose grams, millilitres or a labelled serving, then add it to your diary.

Barcode coverage varies. No match? Add the food yourself.

02

Read the label. Keep the final say.

Photograph a nutrition panel to get a draft you can review and correct. Prefer typing? Enter the label values manually.

Label reading is not a guess at the calories in a meal photo.

03

Less work the second time.

Come back to recent foods, save your usuals, or build a recipe with a cooked yield. Add another food without starting your search again.

Because breakfast is often yesterday's breakfast.

A diary, not a lecture

Just track.
Or set your own targets.

Start without a daily target, or add the numbers you already use. Choose calories or kilojoules. Sugar and fibre stay visible, with more nutrient detail a tap away.

  • No mandatory body stats

You don't need to pick a weight-loss goal to log breakfast.

  • Numbers with context

Missing values stay unknown. Generic foods and estimates stay labelled. We can't promise every product will be in the database.

  • Saved to your account

Keep your diary, private foods and recipes together. Export a backup when you need one.

Right beside your other apps

Give it a spot on
your Home Screen.

Create your diary or sign in first. Then add MacroDiary to your Home Screen for its own app-style window.

iPhone & iPad

Start in Safari

  1. Create your diary or sign in in Safari. Verify your email with the one-time code.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll through the Share options.
  3. If you see Open as Web App, leave it on. Tap Add, then open MacroDiary from its new icon.

On iPhone, installation happens in Safari's Share menu, not a button on this page.

Android

Start in Chrome

  1. Create your diary or sign in in Chrome. Verify your email with the one-time code.
  2. Open Chrome's menu and look for Install app or Add to Home screen.
  3. Follow the prompts, then open MacroDiary from your Home Screen.

The wording and available options depend on your phone and browser. The diary also works in a normal browser tab.

The important distinctions

A public introduction.
A private diary.

This page does not load an account or a food diary. Sharing its link shares this introduction, not your meals, targets or nutrition history.

Anyone can create a diary. Cloudflare Access verifies your email with a one-time code before you enter the app. Your first verified sign-in creates your profile and opens a short setup: a name if you want one, your energy units and optional targets.

Your individual diary stays private. Your account-backed records sync through the app; signing in is separate from adding the Home Screen icon.

Inside the diary, food searches and barcode lookups can use external food databases. Review a matching product and its portion before logging it. Nutrition-panel photos produce suggestions to check, not a guarantee that every number was read correctly.

MacroDiary is a food-tracking tool, not a diagnosis or a substitute for individual medical or dietetic advice.
